On September 5, 2017, Shirley Jane Dobbs passed away at age 77. Mrs. Dobbs was a strong Christian woman with a very positive outlook on life who loved God and her family. She was a longtime member of Townsend Avenue Baptist Church, recent member of Granite Baptist Church, and enjoyed crocheting, playing solitaire, and doing crossword puzzles. She was devoted to watching Channel 13 News, was a Raven's fan and really liked chocolate.
Mrs. Dobbs was the beloved wife of the late Forrest W. Dobbs; loving mother of Gloria Bradley, Sharlena Dobbs and the late Drema Knighton; dear mother in law of Ronald Bradley and Kevin White; devoted sister of Pauline, Charlotte and the late Dicie, Basil and Lewis. She was also blessed with grandchildren Justin, Wayne, Brett, Kacey and Madalyn and great grandchildren Jack and Sophia.
Friends may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Saturday 11am to 1pm. Funeral Service at 1pm followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
