William ( Bill C. ) Chesnick Obituary

On August 22, 2020, William “Bill C.” Dane Chesnick was called home by the Lord after a courageous battle against melanoma.

Born on May 24, 1975, in Cheverly, MD, he was a proud Maryland son. Bill graduated from Bowie High School in 1993 and attended Bowie State University for a short time before joining his father and brothers in the heating and air conditioning industry. He was the general manager for the T-Stats Supply in Rosedale.

He is survived by his devoted wife “with the pretty eyes” of 14 years, Jenny, and adoring daughters Parker, Tori Patterson, and son-in-law, Josh.

He never said “no” to any adventure Jenny planned as long as ice cream was involved. Bill was the ultimate “girl dad” to daughters, Tori and Parker. He was his happiest when coaching Tori and countless other girls in soccer and serving as Parker’s golf coach. He loved sports and was a dedicated fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Las Vegas Raiders, and Washington Capitals. Bill never turned down an ice-cold Natty Boh, much to the dismay of those around him.

As Bill’s faith in God grew deeper, he and Jenny formally remarried in 2017 at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum, where he remained a devoted and faithful parishioner until his passing. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Philip Neri, Council #14612.

Bill once said he and Jenny didn’t have many friends because they “all turned into family.” This large, loving extended family was the foundation upon which they built their lives. He was the guy everyone wanted to spend time with because he was quick to give a hug hello and to supply endless laughs to those around him.

Bill is preceded in death by his father Louis and his brother Gary. He is survived by his mother, Laura; brothers Mark (Lisa), Matthew (Tabatha); father and mothers-in-Law, Randie and Tamera Moore and Beve Brown-Clark; sisters-in-Law, Jeanine Chesnick and Savannah (George) Laffey and Courtney Clark; brothers-in-Law, Aaron Thornewood, Dustin (Jeanette) Moore, and Ron Clark; four nieces and eight nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews, along with countless friends and his beloved bulldog, Frank.

The family is grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for Bill during his journey and for his family during this incredibly difficult time.

Visitation will be at Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 169 Riviera Dr., Pasadena, MD, on Thursday, August 27, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM.
