William C. Carson

Carson, William C.      

      On October 11, 2023, William ("Bill") Charles Carson passed away at Inspirations Assisted Living & Memory Care in Linthicum, Maryland at the age of 89.  He was preceded in death by his father William T. Carson, his mother Margaret E. Carson (nee Deckret), and his brother Richard Carson.  Bill served in the Maryland Air National Guard and United States Air Force after graduation from high school in 1952 until he retired in 1994.  Bill was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan.  He loved boating, fishing, crabbing and camping.  He also loved walking and biking on the trail behind his former house in New Freedom, Pennsylvania.

      Bill is the beloved husband (46 years) of the late Pearl Maxine Carson (nee Swiger); cherished father of William Carson, Jr. (Debra McElroy), Nancy Sumwalt (Sterling), and Natalie Rathell (William); cherished stepfather of Linda Graves (Rae), the late Michael Sharp (Jan), and the late Raymond Lucas (LaDonna); dear brother of Sharon Wollschlager (Joseph).  Bill was also blessed with four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three step-greatgrandchildren. 

      Mr. Carson will be laid to rest with a private ceremony and Military Honors in Maryland Veteran's Cemetery, Crownsville, Md.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America® or an organization of your choice.
