Walter A. Senkewic

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Walter Senkewic on June 19, 2026.

He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Barbara Senkewic and a devoted father to Eric Senkewic (Madi) and Allison Woodall (Chris). He was a proud grandfather—affectionately known as “Pop”—to Kayleigh, Austin, Camden, Sophie, Cole, and Aubriella, and a cherished great-grandfather to Raelynn. He is also survived by his beloved nephew, Tim Senkewic.

Walt graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1963 and went on to dedicate more than 41 years of service as a civilian to the Coast Guard Yard, where he built a long and respected career before retiring in 2006.

Outside of work, Walt found great joy in simple, hands-on passions. He spent many hours in his garage, especially working on his beloved 1938 Chevy Coupe. He was also an avid collector of model trains and took great pride in building his collection. He also enjoyed going to the races on the weekends with friends. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

Walt will be remembered for his steady presence, dedication to his family, and the pride he took in both his work and hobbies.
