Regiec, Vernita M.

       On September 4, 2023, Vernita M. Regiec passed away at age 72. A lifetime resident of Brooklyn Park and graduate of Brooklyn Park High school, Vernita was a stay at home mom, then later worked as a nurses aide at Genesis senior care on Hammonds Lane. Vernita was always the life of the party as she loved to sing and dance, especially the polka. Such a sense of humor she had, that she could crack everyone up with the silly things she would say, and often she would go through a litany of names before she would get yours right. Favorite things were going to family homes for dinners, cook-outs and holidays, and Ocean City vacations with grandkids. Vernita was also most patriotic and very proud of the American flag.

     Vernita Regiec was the beloved mother of Stephen Regiec II and his wife Allison, Laura Henry and her husband Scott; loving grandmother of Emily Regiec, Stephen Regiec III, Mason, Evan and Tanner Henry; dear sister of the late Larry Winder; former wife and friend of Stephen Regiec I; also blessed with numerous other relatives.

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10:30 A.M. in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Followed by interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
