In Loving Memory of Tolbert Swanegan, Jr.
January 24, 1953 – May 30, 2025
Tolbert Swanegan, Jr., passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on May 30, 2025, at the age of 72. A man of steadfast faith and deep devotion to his family, Tolbert lived a full and meaningful life—a life marked by kindness and hard work.
Born on January 24, 1953, Tolbert was a loving brother to David Swanegan (Sharon) and Pamela Hart (John). He was a devoted uncle to Robert Kowalski (Sanne), Jonathan Hart (Annie), Jeremy Carr (Jasmine), Melissa Hart (Sarah), and Amber Kelly (Shane). Tolbert also held a special place in the hearts of his 16 great-nieces and nephews, to whom he was not only a great-uncle but also a source of warmth and encouragement.
Tolbert was a man whose presence could light up a room. He was admired for his strong work ethic and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a testimony to his faith in God, which guided his actions and brought comfort to those around him.
Above all, Tolbert was a loving family man. Whether at family gatherings or in everyday conversations, he made everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. His legacy is one of love, loyalty, and enduring faith.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, P.A. on Tuesday (June 3, 2025) 11AM - 1PM. The funeral service will begin at 1PM. The interment will take place in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
