Thomas Stowe Obituary

Thomas Wesley Stowe was called home to be welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on March 11,2023. The next day he was supposed to be accepted as a member of his favorite church, Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene, but God decided he wanted Wesley for his kingdom instead.

Tom to most, but Wesley to his family, was born on December 21, 1962 to the late Tom Stowe and Sylvia Jacob. Wesley was born with some hardships, but he never let those issues affect the love and kindness he showed to so many. He would greet those he loved with a "Hey Babe".. and when it was time to part he would say "Love ya Babe".. oh how we all miss those words.

Wesley was an avid lover of music. He loved all genres and loved to sing and dance. He loved to cook and would always tell everyone exactly what he made for dinner each night. He also enjoyed traveling and eating all types of delicious food. Recently he spent time with friends and family in both Virginia, South Carolina, Ocean City and Pennsylvania.

Wesley is survived by his loving sister, Shannon Salter and sisters through friendship, Ms. Debbie Halterman and Ms. Lisa Angel Tompkins. You both were such an instrumental part of Wesley's life growing up and he was so lucky to have you both close by to spend time with. Thank you for always including him for the holidays. I know he loved that time with you guys.

Due to some of Wesley's hardships, he needed a little extra help in life. We are truly thankful to the following organizations that helped him throughout the years. OBI and The Arc, Central Chesapeake Region. The Arc does some amazing things to help those in their programs. That type of assistance wouldn't be possible without employees that truly care. These people became good friends to Wesley and we would like to thank them for their dedication to him throughout the years. Lottie Smith, Linda McBee, Jodie Colombo, Jessica Sauers, and Mary Acton. Mary, your love and support for Wesley will never be forgotten. Also, thank you to Tom Estok, who helped mentor him and later became a trusted friend. Thank you for your friendship to Wesley.

Wesley will have a service in his honor at Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene located at 61 Gambrills Road Severn, Maryland 21144 on April 15, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please arrive by 1:15 as Wesley's memorial service will begin promptly at 1:30. There will be light refreshments after the ceremony starting at 3:00pm at the church.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to The Arc, Central Chesapeake Region as this amazing center has provided and cared for Wesley and others for many years. We are grateful for their service and dedication to its members and families.
