Thomas Jeff Sandidge Sr.
April 19, 1947 – March 3, 2026
Thomas Jeff Sandidge Sr., a man of quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and a heart that cherished his family above all else, passed away peacefully at the age of 78.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 19, 1947, to Jeff and Josephine Sandidge, Tom was raised with the values of hard work and dedication. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, specializing in Supply and Transportation within the 3rd Armored Division. Following his honorable discharge on January 16, 1970, he transitioned his military precision into a successful civilian career, retiring from Lockheed Martin as a Supply Chain Specialist after 38 years of dedicated service.
A man of rhythm and spirit, Tom loved to hit the dance floor, step up to the plate in softball, or aim for a strike at the bowling alley. He was also known for his luck and flair at numerous casinos, where he delighted in "hitting the jackpot." Above all, he found his greatest joy in the simple, precious moments spent with those he loved, approaching every day with a generous spirit.
Tom was a wealth of knowledge, a quality he took great pride in sharing with his family. He especially loved being a resource for his granddaughter, Ryleigh, helping her navigate and succeed in her numerous school projects. He also cherished the quiet afternoons spent with his grandson, Landen, watching classic westerns like Gunsmoke or laughing along to The Andy Griffith Show.
Tom’s legacy of love is carried on by his devoted wife of 53 years, Paula Sandidge. He was the proud father of his son, TJ Sandidge, and daughter-in-law, Michelle. His greatest treasures were his grandchildren, Ryleigh and Landen. He also leaves behind a host of loving nephews and nieces who will forever carry the lessons of their uncle’s gentle strength.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Josephine Sandidge; his mother and father-in-law, James and Dolores Gugliette; his sister, Linda Thornton, and her husband, Daniel Thornton; his sister-in-law, Karen Bennett, and her husband, Gene Bennett; his sister-in-law, Debra Giardina; and his niece, Lisa Cassino.
