Theodore "Ted" Shepke

Theodore Shepke

           On December 28, 2021, Theodore Shepke passed away at age 58. Mr. Shepke worked 33 years in Anne Arundel County Public Works, Highway Division, and was past Vice President of Union AFSCME # 582, currently serving as Treasurer and Shop Steward. It seemed like Ted knew everyone, and everyone knew Ted! He had the true Gift of Gab and could converse with everyone. He could make a six hour road trip seem like two hours just because he kept on talking. Ted enjoyed traveling the country, riding his Honda motorcycle, and taking crabs to his Mom's for a family feast. He loved to tinker with vehicles, especially his dump truck, and always had a project going. 

           "Ted was always willing to help anyone, and his nieces and nephews were his life!"

            Theodore Shepke was the beloved son of the late Genevieve and Talbert Shepke Sr. He was the loving brother of Phyllis Schmitt and husband Ray, Talbert Shepke Jr. and wife Nancy, Thomas Shepke, Timothy Shepke and wife Lynn, Barbara Barnes and husband Rodney, Bonnie Shepke, Rosemarie Ferri and husband Nicholas, and the late Maryann Shepke and Michael Shepke. Ted was the devoted uncle of Mark, Ben, Mike, Connie, Jennifer, Cathy, Tim Jr., Amanda, Margaret, Kristina, Sean, Sarah, Thomas, Meagan, Melinda, Candace, Scott, Christopher.  He was also blessed with many great nieces and great nephews. 

             A Memorial Gathering will be held at the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 169 Riviera Drive, on Friday (1/7/2022) 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. 

Anne Arundel County is under a mask mandate. Please remember to bring yours.
