Tempy Glenn McLaughlin

     On January 7, 2021 Tempy Glenn McLaughlin passed away at age 80. A fun loving soul, she was known to many as "TIPPY" and was a member of the Lynnbrook Ladies Club, where she enjoyed playing dominoes and going to Bingo with her friends. She delighted in decorating her home, especially for her favorite holiday, Halloween, and loved dressing up in costume, scaring people on her front porch! Tempy was quite talented at crocheting, and would donate her warm afghans to local hospitals for the cancer and dialysis patients. Although Mrs. McLaughlin had no children of her own, she definitely raised several having spent many years as a daycare provider at her home in Lynnbrook. Her children called her "Tippy Toes".

     Tempy Glenn McLaughlin was the beloved wife of Richard John McLaughlin for 64 years; loving sister of Maurice Myers and wife Pat, Bill Myers and wife Janice, Sarah Chittum and husband Richard and the late Tillie Wertz, Betty Davis, Barbara Myers, and Joyce Flowers. Mrs. McLaughlin was also blessed with several nieces and nephews and many dear friends. She will be loved and missed by her caregivers and all who knew her.

     A Visitation will be held at Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway on Saturday, January 16,  from 10am to 12 noon. Funeral Service at 12 noon. Following services,  Mrs. McLaughlin will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to  St. Jude Children's Hospital in her memory.
