On September 4, 2020, Stewart passed away after a battle with lung cancer. He was raised in Dorsey, MD and resided in Severna Park for more than 20 years. He was the father of Sara Cole McCullough, Grandfather to Adeline and Amelia McCullough, and Brother of Bryan Cole (spouse Theresa Cole) and the late Wayne Cole. He also had several nieces and nephews: Valerie, Tricia, David, Tommy, Kristen, and Crystal. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Corinne Cole. 

Stewart worked as a taxi driver for many years and was a man of faith. He had many supportive friends, for which the family is very grateful. Thanks especially to Donna and Amber Wolfe, Peg Hanna, and countless others. Stewart dedicated the last 25+ years of his life to helping people struggling with addiction. He carried a message of hope through the 12 step fellowships of recovery.
