Kotchen, Stephen John Jr.
On February 1, 2020 Stephen J. Kotchen Jr., age 59, passed away at the Hospice of the Chesapeake after battling with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Jill Kotchen. Stephen was born in Baltimore, Maryland to parents Helen and Stephen Kotchen Sr. He earned an A.A. degree and was employed by UPS as a Sorter for 15 years. In his leisure time, Stephen enjoyed traveling, learning history, going to church, watching sports and talking with friends. Stephen was a most kind, and understanding person who was always smiling and willing to help.
God is more concerned with conforming me to the likeness of his son than leaving me in my comfort zones.
God is more interested in inward qualities than outward circumstances -
things like refining my faith, humbling my heart, cleaning up my thought and strengthening my character.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Athanasius Church, 4708 Prudence Street Baltimore, Md. 21226 on Saturday February 8, 2020 at 11am. Mr. Kotchen will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery.
