Rosezella Marie Sparenberg

On June 14, 2026, Rosezella Marie Sparenberg passed away at age 79. To know Rosezella was to know kindness, generosity, and a heart that was always willing to help others. She found great joy in lending a hand whenever she could. She had a special love for Christmas and truly lived for the holiday season. Christmas wasn't just a day on the calendar, but a feeling she carried throughout the year. Her enthusiasm for the season brought joy to everyone around her.

Some of her happiest moments were spent crabbing alongside her husband, enjoying the simple pleasure of being on the water together. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, trying her luck at the casino, and baking treats for family and friends. 

Rosezella Sparenberg was the beloved wife of Andrew Sparenberg; devoted mother of Dawn, Karen, Eddie, Pam, Andy, Jr., and Karrie; blessed with 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; cherished sister of Jimmy, Cathy, and Nancy, Juney and Harry; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews; loved daughter of Harry and Dorothy Gillespie.

Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Saturday (June 20, 2026) from 10 AM to 12 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 12 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 PM at Glen Burnie Volunteer Fire Lodge, 1012 Bell Avenue, in Glen Burnie 21060 (same location as the family's beloved annual Christmas party).

Not Quite Enough

There's some things we wanted and never got;
Such as a house with our name on the deed,
New teeth so we could smile at folks a lot,
Good glasses making it better to read,
The means to go all the places we'd like,
A garage for me to work on the cars,
For us to just ride around on a bike,
Or camp out quite often under the stars.
We were known as a couple, you and I,
As a team we helped others on their way.
We didn't always see things eye to eye,
Still worked it out by the end of each day.
Spending half our lives together was rough,
But still 40 years was not quite enough.
