Rogers, Ronald R. " Ron"
On May 24, 2022, Ronald “Ron” Rogers passed away peacefully at age 84. He was the beloved husband of Anna May Rogers; Devoted father of Daniel Rogers and wife Michele, and Mickey Mason; Devoted Grandpa of Jacob and Katie; Brother of Randy Rogers and the late Ray and Roy Rogers.
Born May 31, 1937 to Thelma and Elmer Rogers and lived in South Baltimore, Brooklyn Park, and Catonsville. Ron graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1956 and went on to achieve his associates degree. He met Anna May at Mercantile Bank and married on May 31, 1959. Ron retired from the City of Baltimore as their first Systems Analyst. While working for the City, Ron had the privilege of working with Mayor William Donald Schaefer, and IBM former CEO Sam Palmisano. After retirement Ron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, singing, woodworking, and vacationing. Ron and Anna May moved to Charlestown Retirement Community in 2005 and met up again with Governor Schaefer who he spent much time with until the Governor passed away in 2011. Ron looked forward to eating with friends at the Atrium restaurant and never missed an episode of Blue Bloods. He was a great husband, father, friend and mentor.

Visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Visitation Wednesday at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church from 10:30-11:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
