Blackmon, Robin (Nee Capps)

  On August 4, 2023 Robin L Blackmon (née Capps) U.S. Marine veteran, passed away at age 58. Robin was a person who always wanted to help others, and when you saw her, you knew you would receive a warming hug. She loved just getting in the car and going on an adventure, she was also happy being out on a boat fishing. Robin enjoyed yard sales and had quite a knack with antiques and decorating. She was crazy about dancing and if you knew how to dance the shag, she would have you up on the dance floor for sure. Other favorite things were Bingo, skeet shooting, and spending time in her yard gardening.

  Robin L. Blackmon was the cherished mother of Robert Britt and his wife Teri, and Preston Britt; beloved daughter of the late Dolores Spealman, Robert L. Capps and Willena Capps; loving grandmother of Sawyer Britt. She was also grand daughter of Willena Capps (née Shelley), Robert F. "Doc" Capps, Bessie and Herman Hopwood (all deceased); dear sister of Linda Kowal, Meekie Shiflett (née Capps), and the late Larry Capps and Tony Compton. Robin was niece of Faye Harrelson, Howard Hopwood and the late Herman Hopwood; Cousin to Louis Harrelson and wife Sheila and the late Ritchie Harrelson; she was also blessed with many nieces and nephews.

      Her family will receive visitors on Friday August 11th from 1 to 3 pm at 678 Bennett Gasque Rd., Mullins, S.C. 29574

        A Celebration of life will be held in Maryland at a later date.
