Robert J. Jones

        On April 28, 2021, Robert J. Jones, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away at age 70. He was the beloved husband of Nancy L Schneider Jones, married for 28 years; former husband and friend Mariane Jones; devoted father of Mariane Thomas and husband Jason, George Schneider, Edward Schneider and wife Victoria; cherished grandfather of Lilliana Thomas, Blaine Schneider, Victoria Schneider, and JJ Nelson; dear brother-in-law of Cathy and husband Scott, and Rosemary Wimpling and husband Tim.

        Robert loved being on the ball field, getting snowballs after the games, fishing, watching the Ravens and sports games alike. He relished in watching Mariane play soccer. Robert also enjoyed playing music on his guitar and traveling, especially to Kentucky to watch horse races, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania to watch plays at the Site & Sound Theaters. Robert was Past Commander of American Legion Patrick Henry Post 34, and a member of Fellowship Baptism Church.

        “Great guy, wonderful father”

        He is very much loved and will be missed.

        Robert Jones will be laid to rest in Crownsville Veteran Cemetery at a later date.
