On July 8, 2018 Ralph P.. Cherished father of Margaret M., Megan M., Marie D. and Madison E. Oakes. Stepfather of Tori Schwink.  Fiancee of Michelle Sann. Loving son of Marie D. (nee Godwin) and the late William D. Oakes III. Dear brother of William (Fuzz), Gary, David and Dorothy (Dottie) William. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends. Ralph also is survived by his two furry fiends Mylo and Shadow Oakes.

Ralph Pearson Oakes was a son, a partner, a best friend, and most importantly a father. Ralph served in the United States Coast Guard and was part of the honor guard. He also served for the Baltimore City Police department for over two decades and served as a detective corporal for Crisfield Police department. Ralph is the father of four daughters and he would always say to his girls "see no one's image" and was also a proud Freemason. He loved to spend his time with his girls and his fiancée Michelle as well as crab, fish, prank his uncle and build a beautiful home for his family. Ralph loved to put a smile on everyone’s faces and his favorite thing to do was prank and aggravate as long as it resulted in a smile. Ralph’s generous heart of gold will be loved and missed dearly. 

The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy. on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A Time of Remembrance will be held Thursday evening at 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
