Patricia Ruth McNeice

       Patricia Ruth Hynson McNeice passed away on June 13, 2026 at the age of 86.

      Throughout her life, Pat dedicated herself to caring for and inspiring others. She spent many years as a teacher with Anne Arundel County Public Schools before concluding her career in her favorite role as the art teacher at St. Jane Frances School. There, she shared her creativity, patience, and love of learning with countless students, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

      A devoted mother and community member, Pat became a Girl Scout leader while her daughters were active in scouting. She cherished the opportunity to guide young girls, helping them build confidence, character, and lifelong memories.

     Pat was also known for her remarkable talent as a cake decorator. Family and friends eagerly looked forward to the beautiful creations she made for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and other special occasions. Each cake reflected her creativity, attention to detail, and the love she poured into everything she did.

      To many, however, she was best known simply as "Grammy." Over the years, she lovingly cared for dozens of children, including her own grandchildren, nieces, and their friends. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, comfort, and unconditional love. The children entrusted to her care were treated as family, and many carried her influence with them throughout their lives.

     Pat will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, generosity, and unwavering dedication to the children and families she touched. Her legacy lives on in the students she taught, the scouts she mentored, the children she nurtured, and the family and friends who were blessed to know and love her.

     She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

     Patricia McNeice joins her beloved late husband John Patrick McNeice "Jack" in Heaven; she was the devoted mother of Susan McNeice, Laura McNeice and Patti McNeice; cherished grandmother of Sarah, Jack, Abby, Marlie, and Brianna; loving great grandmother of Hunter; dear sister of Deborah Dodrill, the late James Hynson, and Janice Staley. 

      Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 169 Riviera Drive, on Thursday (June 18, 2026) from 3 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be at 7:30 P.M.
