Trocik, Normalee
On February 14, 2020 Normalee Trocik passed away at age 93. Mrs. Trocik, a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, was raised in Brooklyn, just South of Baltimore. Her first job was swatting flies away from meat at the family's Nunnally Meat Market at Cross Street earning 5 cents per hour. Normalee was a member of a ladies bowling league, and also loved to ice skate. A local photographer took pictures of her ice skating and featured them in a magazine. She was so very proud of that! And it was not unusual for her to purchase a new dress or skirt by paying for it 50 cents per week at the local ladies shop. Mrs. Trocik was employed at Dupont as a secretary and later worked and retired from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration. Traveling on Cruise ships was a favorite pastime for Normalee and Andy, her late husband (of almost 50 years). They also enjoyed trips to Ocean City.
Normalee Trocik was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Trocik; cherished daughter of Katherine and Robert Richardson; devoted sister of Jean Rogalski Bennett and dear sister in law of Helen Cwiek. Mrs Trocik was also blessed with nephews Charles Rogalski and his wife Maxine, Stephen Rogalski and his wife Eva, and nieces Donna Kanzigg and her husband Gene, Marlene Ryan and husband Jim, Jackie Abt and husband Nelson. Mrs Trocik was also blessed with a loving extended family and many friends.
Friends may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway on Wednesday, February 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 12:30pm. Mrs. Trocik will be laid to rest with her husband at Maryland Veteran Cemetery in Crownsville, Md.
