On October 14, 2024, Nicholas Moy passed away at age 25 with the love of his parents and his Catholic faith surrounding him. He was a resident of New York City; he moved there in June 2023.
Nick graduated from Drexel University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Animation and Visual Effects and Severna Park High School in 2017. He worked as a 3D Modeler/Animator, Video Editor, Cultural Heritage Researcher, and Americorps Resident Teaching Artist as part of the Artist Year program. He just completed training as a substitute teacher for the NYC Board of Education. Nick was working towards a career as a storyboard artist. He was an extremely good competitor at Video Game Music (VGM) challenges. In his spare time, he was an avid fan of anime. Nick also enjoyed sketching environments of both of nature and of urban areas with people.
Nick Moy entered the world on June 20, 1999, the cherished son of Karen and Gary Moy and beloved older brother of Kelly Moy.
Family and friends are holding a funeral service on Friday (October 25, 2024) at 11 AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal, 8499 Virginia Ave., Riviera Beach Maryland 21122-3097. Nick will be laid to rest in Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, Farmingdale New York on Monday (October 28, 2024) at 12 noon.
