Born December 13, 1963 in Oregon. Mathew spent most of his young years in Glen Burnie, and was a graduate of Andover high school. He proudly served as an Anne Arundel County Police officer for 27 years and had retired just last year.
Mathew was also very proud of his Native American Ancestry and was a huge fan of Jimmy Buffet, the Dallas Cowboys, and Maryland Lacrosse. The Love of his life however, and the best thing to have ever happened to him was his daughter Olivia.
On August 9, 2025 Mathew Leo Redlinger passed away at age 61. Loving Father of Olivia Redlinger; Devoted Son of Deanna and the late August Redlinger Sr.; Beloved brother of August Redlinger Jr., Lori Propst, Dene' Bowen and husband Daniel, and the late Raymond Redlinger. Cherished Uncle of Brandi, Brittany, Nicholas, Erika, Lauren, Christopher, Kyle and Emma. He was also blessed with 9 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Sunday from 7 to 9 PM. and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #70 at 1311 Generals highway Crownsville MD 21032.
