Marlene Heinbuch (nee Gunther)

      On February 27, 2025, Marlene passed away at the age of 84 with her family by her side. Marlene was the wife of the late Vernon Heinbuch, devoted daughter of the late Naomi Brigerman and the late William Gunther Jr.; beloved sister of the late William Gunther III; dear mother to Marina Burriss, Darlene Lang(Bill), and Michele Herget (Doug); Loving grandmother to Crystal Evans, Shannon Waterbury(Doug), Candice Herget, Amanda Burriss, and Daniel Herget (Miranda); Amazing Great Grandmother to Katie Evans, Maggie & Rowan Waterbury.

      She was a special person with a huge heart and will be missed dearly by all who loved her.

      She loved her family and devoted her life to caring for everyone.  She was an active officer in the Auxiliary as Chaplain at American Legion Post 34.  She loved vacations and especially enjoyed going to the beach. She will never be forgotten as she gave us so many memories we could never forget. She is still everywhere with us. She is the air we breathe, she occupies our every thought and fills each moment of our lives. 
 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Thursday (3/6/25) and Friday (3/7/25) from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. The American Legion Post 34 Auxiliary will performing a ceremony Thursday (3/6/25) 7 to 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 11 AM on Saturday (3/8/25) in St. Athanasius Catholic Church, followed by interment in Cedar Hill cemetery.
