On October 3, 2021, Mark Steven Mossman (64) joined his dearest father in heaven.
Mark was the beloved son of Alberta, devoted father of Zach, Eric (Kelsie) and Summer, loving grandfather of Rome, treasured brother of Lauretta, Larry and Rick, and the greatest uncle to many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cherished companion Shannon, former spouse Joy, and countless friends that felt like family.
A lifelong resident of Brooklyn Park, he graduated from Brooklyn Park High School in 1975. With a career in construction and general contracting, Mark was quick to offer a helping hand and was everyone’s go-to Mr. Fix It. He coached for the Brooklyn Park Broncos for many years and was a popular fixture of the Curtis Bay Athletic Club. An avid Baltimore sports fan, he was a Ravens season ticket holder since 1996 and spent many game days cheering along with family and friends. While Mark enjoyed many activities, his favorite by far was sharing Natural Lights with his best friend Norman on Fairfax Avenue.
With a welcoming smile, infectious laugh, and the ability to make any time a good time, Mark was one of the best.
While his family and friends struggle to comprehend his untimely passing and will miss him greatly, they are comforted by the fact that he was loved by so many and had such a profound impact on all who were lucky enough to know him.
Visiting will be held at the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday followed by interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
