Mario DiBene
May 30, 1947 – June 7, 2026
With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Mario DiBene on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the age of 79.
Mario was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather, Marine, and friend whose greatest joy in life was the family he cherished so deeply. He loved fiercely and wholeheartedly, and those fortunate enough to know him never questioned the depth of his love, loyalty, and unwavering dedication. For 45 beautiful years, Mario shared a remarkable love story with his beloved wife, Vicki DiBene. Together they built a life filled with laughter, partnership, and countless treasured memories. Their bond was one of enduring devotion, and Vicki remained the love of his life until his very last day.
Mario found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved feeling the warmth of the sunshine on his face, spending time on the water, tending to his vegetable garden, and feeding the birds that filled his yard. Whether he was enjoying a peaceful day outdoors or taking his jet ski out on the water, he embraced each day with gratitude and enthusiasm.
Above all else, Mario treasured his family. He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Mia DiBene-Bennett and Gina Hurd, and a devoted father-in-law to Daniel Bennett and Thomas Hurd. Nothing brought him greater joy than being "Poppy" to his four beloved granddaughters, Emma Hurd, Elly Bennett, Eva Hurd, and Piper Bennett. He celebrated their accomplishments, treasured their laughter, and loved each of them beyond measure.
Mario's strength, kindness, sense of humor, and steadfast love leave a legacy that will continue to live on through all who knew him. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we are comforted by the memories he leaves behind and by the example he set of how to love deeply, work hard, and cherish family above all else.
Mario will be missed beyond words and remembered forever with love.
*"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard."
