Marina Burriss, born October 11, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 65.
Marina was the beloved daughter of the late Vernon H. Heinbuch and Marlene C. Heinbuch (née Gunther). She was previously married to the late Andrew Fox, and was the devoted mother of Amanda C. Burriss, whom she cherished deeply. She was the loving sister of Darlene Lang (Bill) and Michele Herget (Doug), and a dear aunt to Crystal Evans, Shannon Waterbury (Doug), Candice Herget, and Daniel Herget (Miranda). She was also a proud great-aunt to Katie Evans, Maggie Waterbury, and Rowan Waterbury.
A longtime resident of Brooklyn Park, Marina was known for adventurous spirit. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, and enjoying new places. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Patrick Henry Unit #34 and a cherished member of the Blue Belle Social Club. Marina had a lifelong love of reading, especially mystery novels. She found joy in the works of Stephen King and James Patterson.
Marina will be remembered for her kind heart and the steadfast love she gave to her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed and her memory treasured by all who knew her.
The family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Wednesday (December 3, 2025) from 3PM - 5PM and 7PM- 9PM. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday (December 4, 2025) at 11AM at St. Athanasius Catholic Church followed by the interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
