     On September 11, 2021 Marilyn M. Deavers (nee Larsen) passed away at age 85. Marilyn was a lifelong member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and longtime member of American Legion Post 187 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid shopper and especially loved flea markets. Polka dancing was a favorite pastime, she was so very proud of her Norwegian and Polish heritage! Always, even as she grew older, weekly trips for hair coloring and styling were a must. 

   Marilyn M. Deavers was the Beloved mother of Jacqueline M. Browning and James R. Deavers;  Dearest Companion of the late Milton F. Zientek; Devoted daughter of the late Agnes Verkoski and Agvald Larsen; Sister of the late Joseph, Bernard, Martin, George and Daniel Barnhouser, Agnes Poleski and John Walker; Loving grandmother of Amber Browning, Erik Browning, Jacob Deavers, David Deavers and the late Stacey and James Deavers; greatgrandmother of Rebekah Browning; Cherished cousin of Else Hana Flones and her extended Norwegian family. She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews and her dear cat Annie.

    The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned GONCE FUNERAL SERVICE P. A. on Thursday from 9:30 till 11:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday in St. Athanasius (Main) Church at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest with her companion, Milton, in Holy Cross Cemetery.
