Rhoads, Marie A.
Marie was born to a very Italian, devout Catholic family. As a young girl, she attended Seton High School in Baltimore, and enjoyed performing in Musicals, Caberet shows, and September Songs Plays. At age 18 she was voted "runner up" to Miss Dundalk! She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Westminster since 1962 and sang in the choir there for over 50 years. A highlight of her choir career was a performance at Carnegie Hall. She was known as MeMom to her family and to many children who would visit at the farm in Westminster where she raised her six children with her late husband Bud. Cardinals, hot dogs and Hallmark channel were a few of her favorite things. She was also known for her MeMom-isms, such as "Is this the year for the 7 year quesadillas?" or when traveling to Ocean City "Are we passing over the Assahole-awoman Bay?"
Marie always put everyone else before herself,
she adored all of her family and was like a mother to anyone who visited.
She had a beautiful smile, a joyful laugh
and her passing has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
