Lucille Jane Yeakley Drowsky, 79, was born on July 9, 1944 to James F. Yeakley and Madeleine Jane King Yeakley. She worked for the Department of Transportation at the airport (Aviation) for 30 years. Lucille retired on January 1, 2004 and then, became a volunteer at The Baltimore Washington Medical Center for the next 20 years working in the Ambulatory Surgery Center. She enjoyed the work and the many friends that she made over the years.

Lucille was a Sunday School Teacher at Brooklyn Heights United Methodist Church for more than 25 years. She was well loved by all of her students. Lucille was active in many church organizations and sang in the church choir during all of her adult life.

Lucille was a member of the Arundel Singers for 48 years, bringing joy to churches, nursing homes, and retirement homes.

Lucille is predeceased by her parents, James and Madeleine Yeakley, her grandparents, Robert and Thelma King, Harvey and Joanna Yeakley, and her Aunt and Uncle Fannie and M. Perry Hudson. She is survived by her brother, James (Barbara) Yeakley, sister Charlotte Rich; nephews Jeffrey (Naoko) Rich, Kevin (Kellie) Rich; great nephews Ryan, Colby, and Lincoln Rich; and great niece Austen Rich. She is survived by many cousins who brought much joy into her life, especially Carla, Lisa (Steve), Robert, Rodney (Nicole), Emila, Maggie, and Gabby.

She loved to travel and got to most of the states and 15 countries. Lucille enjoyed a well lived life!

The family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. on Sunday (May 19) from 2 - 5 PM. A visitation will be held at the Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church on Monday (May 20) from 10:30 AM - 11 AM. The funeral service will be held 11 AM. Interment will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
