Linda Sue Glenn was born on January 8, 1951. She passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 after a brief illness.
She spent her younger childhood years living on Hanover Street in Brooklyn. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church as a child and attended Sunday school there. The family later moved to Brooklyn Park where she graduated from Brooklyn Park High School.
She began working for First Federated Life Insurance Company after graduation. The company was sold a few times and she eventually retired from the company after more than 40 years of service.
Linda loved animals of every kind, shape, and size. She had several pets over the years, including hermit crabs, numerous birds and several cats.
She rejoined St. John's Lutheran Church in Brooklyn and officially became a member again, June 17, 2018. She loved helping out in any way that she could at the church. She was a member of the women's group and enjoyed participating in many different activities with them.
She loved to read, and as an older sibling often read to her younger siblings.
Linda is proceeded in death by her mother Nina Frances (Hart) Calvert, Her father Clifton Howard Calvert, and her brother Clifton Brett Calvert.
She is survived by her sister, Joann Boomer and husband Neil, her sister-in-law Nancy Calvert, her sister Donna Smith and husband Bill, her brother Bill and his wife Donna, her brother Richard and his wife Sue, and her sister Rita and husband Wayne. Also several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, 4001 Ritchie Highway on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, 3 PM - 5 PM and 7 PM - 9 PM. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11 AM followed by interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
