Lillian Hyde, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Lillian lived a life rooted in service, compassion, and dedication to her community. For many years, she proudly served with the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Department, where she was a respected life member known for her strength, reliability, and caring spirit. Her commitment left a lasting impression on her fellow members and the community she faithfully served.
In addition to her service, Lillian was the owner and operator of Hyde’s Florist in Pasadena. Through her work, she brought beauty and comfort to countless families during life’s most meaningful moments. Her creativity, attention to detail, and heartfelt care were evident in every arrangement she made.
Lillian enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially playing BINGO and spending time with family and friends. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she took great pride in each generation. She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Winfield and Hannah Johnson; her husband, Frederick Hyde Sr.; her son, Frederick Hyde Jr.; her sister, Winifred Maher; and her great-granddaughter, Kayley McCartin.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Mike) Barnett and Kenneth (Cindy) Hyde Sr.; her grandchildren, Kenneth (Kelly) Hyde Jr., Kelly (Matt) August, Stephanie (Nick) McCullough, James (Kaitlin) McCartin III, Sarah (Jonathan) Atkinson, Brady (Chelsea) McCartin, Kendra Hyde, Chris (Michelle) Barnett, Amy (Josh) Giller, Madysen (Michael Conaway) Zbignewich, Kylee Zbignewich, and Adam (Abby) Zbignewich; and her great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Logan, Landon, Brian, Sophia, Gavin, Kara, Hunter, Parker, Emmett, Brooks, Robbie, Kayla, Kelly, and Beckham.
Lillian’s legacy of service, kindness, and love will live on through her family and the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Servivce, P.A., 169 Riviera Drive, on Thursday (January 22, 2026) 3PM - 5PM and 7PM - 9PM. The funeral service will be Friday (January 23, 2026) at 11AM followed by the interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
