On October 11, 2024, Lillian Beam passed away at age 95. She was a longtime resident of Brooklyn; she moved to Linthicum in 1989.
Mrs. Beam worked as a key punch operator for USF&G until 1989, then went to work for CSX Railroad and finally retired at age 59. She was an extremely good cook for her husband of 70 years and her four children, and of course, loved to eat - especially desserts. An avid fan of home teams Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, Mrs. Beam also enjoyed attending sports games and dance recitals of her great grandchildren.
Later in life she moved to Morningside Assisted Living and participated in beading and painting. She was also very good at cards and played Rummy, UNO and Trash.
Lillian Beam was the beloved wife of the late Robert Beam, Sr. for 70 years; devoted mother of Barbara Lorber and her husband Larry, JoAnn Jackson, Robert Beam, Jr. and his wife Adrienne, Deborah Beam and her companion Earl Watts; loving grandmother of Andrea Goldberg and husband Joseph, Eric Lorber and wife Jennifer, Brett Lorber and Brittany Jackson. She was also blessed with great grandchildren Kevin and Abigail Goldberg and Delaney and Sloane Lorber.
