Leslie Frances Lacy

      Mom was the greatest mother I could’ve ever asked for. She taught me so many valuable lessons and helped me develop into the man I am today. She always pushed me to be the best and do my best in everything, never settling for the bare minimum. She is the reason why I’m such a hardworking and compassionate person. She taught me what it meant to really love someone and care for them. She always supported me in my endeavors, saying that I could always rely on her for anything, whether it be waking me up in the morning for school or helping me get my first job. No matter what, Mom always had my back and helped me walk through life, even the most difficult moments.

      She worked at my old school, St. Philip Neri, in the aftercare program. She tended to the children, making sure they were fed, had lots of fun, and got their homework done. If you could’ve watched her while she was there, you would’ve seen her compassion and tender love. The love that she gave to us is the same love she gave to those children. She had a spirit of service that she instilled in me, demonstrating how to love your neighbor as yourself. If you were to ask me, she perfectly demonstrated God’s love to me and that’s what I will always remember her by.

      Leslie was the beloved wife of the late Larry Lacy. She is survived by her children Luke Lacy and Lauren Lacy, and her siblings Jerome Zangl and Joanne Zangl.
