Leslie G. Caperoon

On December 22, 2024, Leslie Garrett Caperoon III passed away at age 67. His family called him, Butch as a child when he was growing up. His father and sister still calls him that.

Leslie was born February 1, 1957 to Leslie Garrett Caperoon Jr and Gail Langhammer Caperoon. 

He was the most wonderful loving husband in the world. He was a happy-go-lucky man who was loved by many. He was a hard worker, working as a steel fabricator his whole life. His last job he worked at was Thrifty Iron Works. Leslie loved watching sports, especially the Ravens and Orioles games. His love for sports brought him great joy throughout his life.

Leslie's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved But, most importantly, he loved his family.

Leslie was the beloved husband of Judy Caperoon; devoted father of Jennifer Fiorucci (Jonathan), Heather Mydlarz (Jeffrey), and Bryan Caperoon (Katie); devoted step-father of Kristy Taylor (Jeffrey), and Brandon Smith (Jennifer); loving brother of Debra Ways; cherished grandfather of Ethan Langley, Colin Sturgill, Brody Sturgill, Julian Fiorucci, Carter Mydlarz, Connor Mydlarz, Skyler Lovett, Savanna Lovett, Adrianna Holt, Devyn Smith, Kenley Smith, Braylee Smith; and cherished great-grandfather of Leilani Langley.

Leslie is predeceased by his Mother Gail, Langhammer Caperoon, grandparents Walter Langhammer and Edna Langhammer, and Leslie Caperoon, Sr. and Frieda Caperoon.

Family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Monday (12/30/24) from 11AM - 1 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM followed by an interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
