In Loving Memory of Karen Fay Boggs (Taylor)
On August 3, 2025, Karen Fay Boggs (Taylor) called from death into eternal life (John 5:21), and she was welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Born on July 1, 1944, in Summersville, WV, Karen was the daughter of the late Willie and Flossie (Morris) Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Boggs Sr. and her son Leonard Boggs Jr., her sisters Mona Jeffers, Zona Radar, and her brothers, Darrell, Drexel, Duvil, Dwayne, Doyle, Dorvil, and Denzil.
She is survived by her daughter Michele Bik (Pete) and her six grandchildren Rebecca, Joshua, Ryan, Nicholas, Gabriel, and Matthew. Her sister Theda Daily of OH, and her two brothers-in-law Mark Jeffers of WV, and Bobby Boggs of MI, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In Karen’s early years she attended Marshall University in WV and was a teacher at Clay Elementary School in Clay, WV. After meeting & marrying Leonard, the couple moved to Maryland. Karen raised her two children and worked many retail jobs throughout the years.
A longtime resident of Severn, MD, Karen was 81 at the time of her passing. Karen was a faithful, kindhearted and longtime member of the former Chesapeake Baptist Church and now Reece Road Baptist Church in Severn, Maryland. Among the members of the church are warm testimonies of her faith in Christ. Her faith in Christ enabled Karen to lean on the promises he made and kept in times of trouble, sorrow, and living a very joyful life as a wife, mom and grandmom. Like many, she loved to play bingo, scrabble, and walk with friends and family. Grandma Karen’s house a.k.a. G Ma’s was the place for endless love, affection, and attention, all attributes of the son of God, Jesus Christ.
Until we see each other again… We love you!
