On April 10, 2025 Joe was the Beloved husband of the late Harriet Valenza; Devoted father of Michael Hughes and wife Kelly Hughes and Melissa Hughes; Grandfather of Michael Hughes (Samantha), Brittney Harper (Alan), Justin Hughes, Kristin Wright(David) ; Great-Grandfather of Liam, Jack, Kwintyn, Noah and Angel.

Visitation will be held at Lighthouse Church 6691 Baymeadow Drive #200 Glen Burnie, MD 21060 on Tuesday April 15, 2025 from 9:30 A.M to 11:00A.M. Funeral Service 11:00A.M. Interment Lakeview Cemetery.
