Disilvestre, John "JJ" Sr.
On July 31, 2025 "JJ" was called home by Our Lord at the age of 54 in Baltimore, Maryland.
John-John as he was affectionally known by, was born on October 25, 1970 in Washington, DC to his mother Virginia (Holtzman) DiSilvestre and father John DiSilvestre Sr. (Both Deceased). John-John was preceded in death by his sisters Melinda (Cannon) DiSilvestre and Marlene (Souder) DiSilvestre.
He attended DuVal High School in Lanham, Maryland. John-John was passionate about working with his hands. He could build anything and everything. John-John grew up in Glendale Heights, Maryland eventually settling in Pasadena, Maryland.
He enjoyed Heavy Metal Music, everything from Metallica to Ozzy Osbourne. He loved attending concerts, but most of all he cherished spending time with family and friends, including his mother's beloved dog Sugar. If you were lucky enough to have known him, you were his friend truly. His beautiful smile, blue eyes and laughter lit up the sky. He also enjoyed cooking and made a mean pork chop. Whatever God presented in his life, he was able to overcome and step closer to God. He was always an incredibly kind, caring and loving person who truly had a heart of gold, and who always showed up for you again and again.
John-John is survived by his beautiful daughters Jennifer Marie (Love) DiSilvestre and Virginia (Jenna) Danielle De Bari and Grandsons Logan John and Elijah Michael De Bari as well as Nieces Holli Souder, Nicole Cannon, and Crystal Cannon. He was also blessed with extended family and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future to be determined at a later date. All who attend are kindly requested to wear Pittsburgh Steeler gear if at all possible.
