On January 12, 2025, John Clark, Jr. passed away at age 81. He was a proud Vietnam veteran and specialist in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. His honorable service shaped his life and left a legacy of courage and pride. He was known for cheering on the Baltimore Ravens with his beloved wife and hosting unforgettable Labor Day celebrations, where family and friends gathered year after year. An avid gardener, Mr. Clark found peace tending to his plants. At work, he earned the affectionate nickname "The Sandwich Guy" for bringing his co-workers sandwiches - a title that spoke volumes about his generous and thoughtful nature.
John Clark, Jr. was the beloved husband of Eileen G. Clark for 57 years; devoted father of SFC Styles, Jr., James H. and wife Diana Taylor, Cheryl A. Collins and husband Courtney, John Thomas Clark, III and companion Stacey Huffman, and the late Gary S. Styles; cherished grandfather of James, III, Linda, Kera, Jessica, Island, Abram, Alisha, and Samantha; Blessed with great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Dear Brother of Rodney, Rick, Roseanne and her late husband Harry Young Vietnam Veteran.
Family request relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Hwy on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Service will take place Tuesday January 28th at 12:45 PM. Followed by Military Honors in Crownsville Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
