John A. Borkoski

        On May 1, 2021 John A. Borkoski. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. Borkoski (nee Mock). Dear father of Concetta M. Guzik and her husband Edward.. Cherished grandfather of Johnathen Guzik, and Lauren Lauren Walter. Great grandfather of Jared Nash, Kyleigh Nash and Paige Walter. Brother of Marie Hicks, Florence DiGiovanni, Marge Levinsky and the late Andrew Borkoski, Lula Vogt, Nora Moore, Stella Karopchinsky, Melvin, Peter, Albert, Joseph, Alexander Borkoski and Rose Morgan. Also survived by his nieces and nephews and their families and friends.

        Most of us here knew John as Pop-Pop. He came from a large family of 14, him being the “baby”. He was the kindest and most generous man. He was everyone’s favorite uncle who always had a comb in his pocket whether he was bowling, playing bingo, feeding the birds or tending his beloved peonies and roses.

        For a while now Pop-Pop kept asking to “go home”. He was born on the 4th of May and God granted him his wish for his birthday. Pop-Pop has gone home.

        His love for his family knew no bounds and he will always be with us in our memories.

        And, in the end, according to Pop-Pop, even if you are full or didn’t finish your meal… there’s always room for ice cream.

        The family requests relatives and friends to meet at Glen Haven Memorial Park at 11:00 graveside on Thursday May 6, 2021  with Military Honors.
