Joanne M. Lotz, 84, of Linthicum Heights, passed away on September 4, 2025.
Joanne was born on September 2, 1941 in Harrisburg, PA to the late George Shuler and Teresa Sednek. She graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, PA, same as her late husband, beginning their lifelong journey together. Joan was a woman of many passions. She found great joy in crocheting, square dancing at the Friendship Square Club, swimming, and trips to Wildwood, NJ. An avid reader and admirer of classic literature, she was a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. Joan's faith was central to her life. She was a devoted Catholic, active parishioner, and Sodality member of St. Philip Neri Church.
Joanne joins David, her beloved late husband of 57 years in Heaven, and is survived by hers sons, David A. Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, Andrew W. Lotz of Gambrills, Timothy J. Lotz of Silver Spring, daughter Bonnie J. Rubel of Glen Burnie, eight grandchildren; and brother Kenneth Burkey of Mechanicsville, PA. She was predeceased by her sister, Carol Fernback, of Middletown, PA.
