      It is with great sadness that the family of Joan Koenig announces her passing, on Friday, May 7, at the age of 87 years.  Joan (of Glen Burnie, MD) will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend of 67 years, George Koenig and their daughter, (Debbie), 2 grand-daughters (Carrie and Melissa), 4 great-grandchildren (Josh, Kelly, Georgie, and Greyson), and 2 great-great-grandchildren (Scarlett and Everly).  Joan was preceded in death by, her mother Agnes, sisters, Eileen, Catherine, and Marion; and great-granddaughter Isabella. 
Along with her love of her family and children, Joan enjoyed reading and writing poetry and had a passion for the movies.  Joan’s warmth, gentleness and care for others will never be forgotten.
 

  Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Wednesday from 11 to 1 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM followed by interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

  The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in (Joan Koenig's) name. www.alz.org
