In Loving Memory of Jerome Linwood Thomas, Sr.

Jerome Linwood Thomas, Sr., 45, entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a sudden and unexpected medical emergency.

Jerome was first and foremost a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, coworker, and loyal friend. To know Jerome was to know a man whose life was defined by love, hard work, generosity, and unwavering dedication to the people around him.

For more than twenty-two years, Jerome shared a beautiful life with the love of his life, Michelle, including thirteen years of marriage. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, teamwork, and family. Whether cooking together, cleaning, tackling yard work, or simply enjoying one another’s company, Jerome and Michelle faced life side by side.

Jerome was a proud father to Jerome Jr., Marquise, and Jada, and a loving stepfather to Brandon, Dale, and Tyler. Nothing brought him greater joy than being “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He treasured every opportunity to play with them, laugh with them, and create memories they will carry forever.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Annell Wheeler; his brothers Michael Dorsey, Calvin Wheeler, William Wheeler, and Michael Thomas Jr.; his sister Maria; and was preceded in death by his sister Cynthia and his father, Michael Linwood Thomas, Sr.

Jerome also leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren—Ayden, Kaleb, Sophia, Mira, Sapphire, Heidi, and baby Dylilah—along with five nephews, seven nieces, countless cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and coworkers who became family.

Jerome’s heart extended beyond people—he was also a devoted fur dad to his beloved companions, Zeus (dog), Jamison and Bailey (cats). They brought him comfort, companionship, and unconditional love, and he loved them deeply.

Jerome believed in showing up for people. If someone needed help, he was there. He never hesitated to lend a hand, whether family, friend, neighbor, or stranger. His kindness was genuine, his work ethic unmatched, and his willingness to serve others made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

For the past eight years, Jerome was a valued member of the Bitumar USA family. He earned the respect of his coworkers through his dedication, integrity, and commitment to excellence. To them, he was more than a coworker—he was a teammate and a trusted friend.

Outside of work, Jerome loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, grilling, football, basketball, Uno, PlayStation, scooter rides, music—especially Tupac—and keeping up with the latest clothes, shoes, and hats. Anyone who knew Jerome knew he liked to look his best with matching outfits and fresh shoes.

He had a contagious laugh that could brighten any room and a playful personality that often included his signature dance moves and expressions that left everyone smiling. He had a gift for making people feel welcome, appreciated, and loved.

Although his passing came far too soon, Jerome leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured in years but in lives touched. He was the kind of man people depended on, respected, and loved deeply. His strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Jerome’s memory will live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, every family gathering, and every life he helped shape through his kindness.
