On December 22, 2025, Janice Wilson, three days shy of age 92, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn Park, and Glen Burnie, Maryland, was peacefully called home. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Miss Janice will always be remembered as a community icon profoundly known as the “Queen of Pasadena-Finding Miss Janice.”
Born on December 25, 1933, in Baltimore, Maryland, daughter of Mildred (Deceased) and Fred Slater (Deceased), loving husband Bill Wilson (Deceased), loving mother of Deborah Matusky (Jim-Deceased), Terri Rozanski (Dave), and Sandy O’Shea (Don), sister of Donna Maisel (Earl), and brother Bob Slater(Deceased) (Bonnie), grandchildren, Jimmy Matusky (Krista), Ashley Rozanski, and great grandchildren, Jameson and Marley Matusky, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Janice was a dedicated Federal and Maryland State employee for 45+ years, devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and lifetime member of Brooklyn Community United Church.
The “Queen of Pasadena-Finding Miss Janice,” and her caregiver, Mr. Ricky Beyer (Aloha Rick), for whom we will be forever grateful for his care and love of Miss Janice, became notorious to thousands in the community through their restaurant reviews and limousine method of travel. It was not uncommon for community members to recognize Miss Janice and opt for photography moments bringing JOY and smiles to all.
In the words from the heart and love of Miss Janice to all,
In the closing of this written chapter in the book of life, I say to you with all my love, be faithful and obedient to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and as in all things from GOD, all things are possible through Jesus Christ. Please remember my smile, and the JOY you brought to me, and I to you, for it was God’s purpose, and when you’re in need of a little smile play my song “Margaritaville” by Jimmie Buffet.
A viewing service will on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, and 7 – 9 pm.
