Jane Marie Francis

Jane Marie Francis, 76, of Arnold, Maryland passed away on the 21st day of October, 2024 with the love of her family surrounding her. 

Jane enjoyed going to the movies, vacation trips to Ocean City, shopping, and going to the casino. Her passion was spending time with her family. Jane was known for her crab soup, crab cakes, sauerkraut and spaghetti. She was the most loving, caring and strong woman and was always the first to help. Jane was the heart of our family. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to her family and friends. She experienced hardship and pain with the loss of her parents and siblings but she never let it bring her down. Jane was a beautiful woman, had a beautiful smile and a kind heart. Jane will forever be in our hearts and always on our minds. Jane will truly be missed. 

Jane was the beloved wife of George Francis for 57 years; devoted mother of Angela Rathell and Michael "Micky"; cherished grandmother of Michael Rathell; dear sister of JoAnne Luedtke and the late Michael Goddard, Donald Goddard and Melvin Goddard; loved daughter of Evelyn Goddard and Donald Goddard.

Visiting will be held at Gonce Funeral Service, 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Tuesday (10/29/2024) from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be Wednesday (10/30/2024) at 10 AM, followed by interment in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
