Parks, James R.

 

      James was born December 19, 1931 to the late Charles and Teresa Parks. He was raised Catholic. Graduated from St. Rose of Lima, and Calvert Hall. His mother taught him his good manners, and to be a gentleman. James proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and fought in the Korean War. Together he and his wife Mary Ann were married for 61 years of Holy Matrimony. He continued his faith as a practical Catholic and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3413 at Holy Trinity, and also a member of the Order of Alhambra. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and many others things and will be loved and missed.

 

      On February 20, 2020. James passed away with his wife by his side. He was 88 years old. He is the beloved husband of Mary Ann Parks. Cherished father of Brian Parks and his wife Debbie. loving grandfather of Brian and Cody Parks. Dear brother of Charles Parks and sister, Dorothy Parks, and the late Richard Parks, and John Parks.

 

      Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway on Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at 10 AM in St. Athanasius Chapel, followed by Military Honors and Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Athanasius Church.
