Cashour, James R.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Robert Cashour on March 13, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on August 7, 1946, in Baltimore, MD, James, affectionately known as Jim or Jimmy, passed away peacefully in Westminster, MD, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Jim was a proud Army veteran, having served his country with honor. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene Cashour, and his brother, John Cashour, both of whom he missed dearly.
Jim's passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on through his family. He is survived by his loving children; Curt Cashour (Geneva), Carrie Day, Patrick Cashour, Lauren Bush (David), Marc Soliday (Kim), Kimberly Gaskins (Kevin), and Renee Hamilton-Slaughter (Mark). Jim was also a proud grandfather, and great-grandfather. Zachary, Jordyn, Tristan, Tyler, Bryan, Kieran, Joseph, Sonora, Lochlan, Kiara, Franklin, Darrius, Amira, Gianni, and Juan brought him great happiness. He cherished every moment spent with them, and has left a lasting impression on their lives. He is also survived by siblings: Paul, Mary Catherine, Michael, Patricia, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Cecelia.
In addition to his deep devotion to his family, Jim had a passion for the Baltimore Orioles. He could often be found cheering for his team, sharing in the highs and cursing the lows of the game, and imparting his love for baseball to his children and grandchildren. Jim's life was a testament to the values of love, loyalty, and dedication. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his remarkable life and the countless ways he touched our hearts. James Robert Cashour may no longer walk among us, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with love in everything we do.
Friends and family are invited to share their memories and honor the life of a man who was so deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
