James Callahan Obituary

     

      On December 16, 2024, James "Jim" Lee Callahan passed away at age 59. He joins his former wife Jill and cherished parents Walter and Carol Callahan in Heaven. He was the dear husband of Theresa Callahan and Stepfather of Megan and Jake Brady. In addition to his family, he will be missed by his good friends Paul Demme, Jon Palmer and Tony Prescott, his followers as “Solitaire”, current & past members of The 9400 Building in OC, & his fellow band members at Glen Mar UMC and many others.

      "Jim was a very well read man. A talented artist and musician with a big heart, and good old soul. We're blessed to have known such a kind and generous, thoughtful man. Sleep well Jim."

      Family requests relatives and friends visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 4001 Ritchie Highway, on Sunday (December 29, 2024) from 5 to 7 PM, and Saturday (January 4, 2025) at Glen Mar Church, 4701 New Cut Road from 10 to 11 AM for visitation and a Memorial “Concert” style Celebration of Life. Funeral Service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow to Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Glen Mar Church Praise Band.
