Jacqueline Nash Obituary

In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Louise Nash, 83
(Nee Saroka)
February 3, 1940-
March 22, 2023

Jackie was born and raised in Keyser, West Virginia and lived with her parents Mary Kozier Saroka and Anthony J. Saroka, Sr., sisters Kelen G Saroka, Carter and Regina Saroka-Hanson, and her brother Anthony J. Saroka, Jr.

After high school she moved to Baltimore in 1958 and attended cosmetology school and became a hairdresser. She also worked at University of Maryland in the Medical Data Entry Department for many years. She then went on to work at Velleggia's in Little Italy, Baltimore before working at Double Tree by Hilton where she finally retired in 2017 after 65 LONG years, due to health reasons.

In the 1970s she moved to Pasadena, Maryland where she raised 3 sons, Michael C. Daugherty, Scott D. Daugherty, who sadly passed away on March 25, 1997, and Anthony D. Nash for 50+ years. Grandma Jackie especially loved her 4 beautiful granddaughters Angel A. Nash, Autumn D. Nash, Erin R. Daugherty and Cherish Milesky. She also has 4 beautiful great grandchildren Loraligh and Ellie Keys, and Cole and Mason Milesky.

Jackie loved to travel and loved good food. She wouldn't hesitate to throw the grandkids in the van and go to Six Flags. She absolutely loved dogs, especially Chihuahuas, as well as many stray humans! She didn't think twice about helping everyone and anyone that needed help!

She leaves behind many friends who were "her family" that she dearly loved. She was amazing and she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Until we meet again...

Family requests relatives and friends to visit the family owned Gonce Funeral Service P.A. 169 Riviera Dr. on Wednesday 11 Am to 1 PM. Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM. Followed by interment in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times,
a loved one's touch.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now; He set me free.
