Helen Virginia Bush, 100 years in age passed on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

Helen was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on March 29, 1923, to Mabel and Carl Watson. Helen was the eldest of 8 children.  Her siblings included Ken “Bud”, Betty Jean, Raymond “Nick”, Marilyn “Sis”, William, Dale and Gerald, all of Beloit. 

Helen married Warren K. Bush (Pete) on March 27, 1948.  They would have been married 75 years, but he passed away in 1989.  She was a mother to one son, Warren K Bush Jr. (Pete).  Warren Jr married his wife Denise, and they have 3 children, Cori, Nikki & Marc.  In addition to her to her son, daughter in law and 3 grandchildren, she is also survived by her goddaughter, Marilyn Harris and 7 great grandchildren Rylie, Jordyn, Ryann, Reece, Ridgely, Matthew and Evie.  She was also a great great grandmother to Jameson and Emersyn Larkins. 

Helen and Pete lived in Baltimore when first married, before moving to Brooklyn Park, where she lived for over 60 years.  Helen worked at Gould from 1979 to 1993 where she had many great friends.   In addition to her career at Gould, her hobbies included singing, playing the guitar and writing music.   She sang with the Sweet Adelines, the Elkridge Chorus, and in later years she sang with The Notables. In retirement she enjoyed babysitting Rylie for many years.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Warren Bush and mother and father Mabel and Carl Watson.  She is also preceded in death by her siblings Bud, Betty Jean, Dale and Sis as well as many beloved brother and sister in laws.

Helen should be remembered for her love of music, her bright smile and avid journalism.

The family will be having a Celebration of Life at a later date.
