On March 3, 2026, George Spradlin passed away peacefully at home at age 88. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Margaret "Peggy" (nee Craig); devoted father of George A. Spradlin, Jr., David W. Spradlin, Sandra L. Spradlin, and Amber L. Spradlin; blessed with 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
George Spradlin was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, but raised in Westport Baltimore. He was an avid football fan, and even had a contract with the New York Jets in 1963, and enjoyed playing basketball on Sunday mornings. He was a dedicated member of the Boys of Baltimore Foundation. George loved dogs, traveling, and Friday date nights. He had several successes in his career including owning his own car dealership in Baltimore. He relocated to Florida and became general manager at a Lincoln dealership. He owned residences in Maryland and Florida, as well as several red corvettes. Driving to Fort Myers Beach was a favorite.
Family requests relatives and friends visit Gonce Funeral Service, P.A., on Sunday (March 8, 2026) from 3 to 5 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be Monday (March 9) at 11 A.M., with interment to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
George asked that those who wish may donate to Wounded Warriors or Disabled Veterans in lieu of flowers.
