Gary Makarovich-a faithful follower of the Lord has made his way into the gates of Heaven on May 27th 2024. Gary’s love of the Lord was glorified in all that he did. He enjoyed reading scripture, passing out bible tracks, driving around in his Jesus van, and spreading the word of God to any and everyone whom he came in contact (even if they didn’t want to hear). He would drive around with the grandkids and read Bible verses out the window with a bull horn. When he didn’t have a camcorder on his right shoulder you can bet one of the grandkids were on his shoulders. He would carry the grandkids around and sit them on top of the refrigerator. He would light up any dance floor and enjoyed being the center of attention often dancing on his head. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell stories of the old days. He made sure all the kids had a homemade air compressor for their car. He was a fixer and would edge his garden with gasoline (until roundup became a thing). He loved to cut his grass and liked it cut particularly short. He will be sorely missed.
He was proceeded in death by his son Michael Makarovich. Gary leaves behind his loving wife Delores(Lois) Makarovich of 64 years, whom he loved dearly; three daughters, Karen Washburn (husband Michael), Sheila Makarovich and Randi Makarovich (wife of his son); eight grandchildren Michael Washburn, Crystal Washburn, Heather Washburn, Joshua Leeds (wife Casey), Daniel Leeds(wife Lindsey), Rachel Payne(husband Ryan), Amanda Brewer (husband John), and Michael Makarovich Jr.; and fifteen great grandchildren; Michael, Justin, kaylynn, Zoey, Steven, Bryson, Faithlynn, Dillan, Grayson, Cheyanne, Landon, Mikaela, Dakota, Abel, Johnny, and Jase. Gary will always be remembered for his love of the Lord and his family. He would want anyone reading this to know about Jesus and how to be saved.
